Thankfully, there are so many treatments and procedures available in aesthetic dentistry that any aspect of your smile can be beautifully enhanced. At our practice, Dr. Weinman can use the following aesthetic treatments, or a combination of them in a smile makeover session, to give you the smile you have always wanted.
Bridges
If you have lost a tooth to trauma or neglect, you may feel embarrassed and ashamed to smile or show your teeth. Dr. Weinman understands and wants to help you. He can replace missing teeth with a bridge, a natural looking set of composite teeth. To apply a bridge, Dr. Weinman places support crowns on healthy teeth on either side of the missing teeth. Then, he creates a naturally looking bridge that mimics the appearance of your missing teeth and then anchors the bridge to the support crowns. The result is a smile that functions and looks beautifully natural. |
Whitening
If your teeth are dingy or discolored, you may be embarrassed to smile. A number of factors, from the beverages you drink to the medicines you take, can stain or discolor your teeth. Thankfully, our team can safely and easily whiten your teeth. Our practice offers Zoom! Smile Whitening, a one-hour treatment that can quickly brighten your smile. We can also prescribe custom-made bleaching trays with prescription strength whitening gel that you can use from the comfort of your home. |
Porcelain Veneers
Your teeth may be chipped, cracked, or broken from trauma or everyday wear. Or possibly heredity has given you uneven, misshapen, or slightly crooked teeth. Dr. Weinman can easily correct these problems in two to three visits with porcelain veneers.
With this treatment, a thin layer of white, natural looking porcelain is placed over a tooth to mask damage and imperfections. Dr. Weinman may apply veneers to make teeth appear straighter, seem more aligned, or look more even. Veneers can also close gaps between teeth and cover chipped or broken teeth as well as bleach-resistant stains on tooth enamel. Veneers looks so natural and beautiful that no one will be able to tell you are wearing them. All they will see is your beautiful, healthy looking smile. |
Crowns
You may have an existing crown, a tooth-shaped restoration that completely covers a natural tooth, in your mouth. If so, you know how well crowns can strengthen weakened or fractured teeth and improve the overall appearance of a tooth by masking imperfections. What you may not know is that Dr. Weinman can create beautiful, natural-looking porcelain crowns that are indistinguishable from your surrounding teeth.

Bonding
If you have damage to your teeth, Dr. Weinman can use bonding to improve the appearance of your teeth quickly and easily. Bonding (also called composite bonding) is a durable, tooth-colored composite resin. Dr. Weinman may use it to fill a cavity, cover broken, sensitive, or open areas on a tooth, mask imperfections, such as discoloration, or change the size of your teeth. In some situations, Dr. Weinman may discuss bonding as an alternative to certain treatments, such as porcelain veneers. Once the bonding is applied, Dr. Weinman will polish the resin until it matches your surrounding teeth. |
Tooth Colored Fillings
These days, it's common knowledge that amalgam fillings can actually cause teeth to crack or fracture. If you have a cavity or an older amalgam filling, Dr. Weinman can restore your teeth with natural looking fillings made of composite resin. More durable as well as aesthetic-looking than amalgams, tooth colored fillings can last a lifetime with appropriate care. They also feel and function more like your natural teeth while looking fantastic. Dental Implants
While bridge and dentures can restore some of the function and appearance of your missing teeth, you may miss the permanence and confidence of your old teeth. Fortunately, Dr. Weinman is certified in dental implants and can restore your missing teeth with this comfortable, permanent treatment.
With implants, a small titanium screw is placed in your jawbone. Titanium metal stimulates bone growth, which secures the implant in place as your jaw heals. The implant can then act like tooth roots to anchor a single crown or a specially created bridge or denture. When the procedure is complete, you will feel as comfortable biting into an apple as smiling.

Inlays and Onlays
Sometimes, a cavity or cracks in your teeth cannot be fixed with a traditional filling or crown. Fortunately, our practice offers porcelain inlays and onlays as alternative treatments to these traditional solutions. With inlays, Dr. Weinman will specially shape porcelain to fit a cavity that cannot hold a filling. When you damage the surface of your tooth, but the interior is healthy, Dr. Weinman can use an onlay, a tooth-shaped restoration, to cover the damage and protect the tooth.
Since inlays and onlays bond directly to the tooth, they are very durable and strengthen teeth more than their traditional counterparts. Dr. Weinman also doesn’t need to remove as much tooth structure as traditional fillings or crowns require. More importantly, inlays and onlays are indistinguishable from your surrounding teeth, creating a flawless smile. |
